Beatrice (Betty) is a clinical trainee at Counseling Services of Southern Minnesota. She graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Master of Social Work degree and is a licensed graduate social worker. She is working towards her independent clinical social work license. Betty has experience working with the immigrant and refugee population, bridging individuals with resources, and expanding community cultural education. Her experiences also include providing Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) for adults in group homes, in the community, and in their own homes. Betty works as an outpatient therapist with teenagers and adults, and as a school-linked mental health therapist. She utilizes a strengths-based, trauma informed, and culturally responsive lens. Betty provides therapy in Kiswahili, Ekegusii, and English.
