Wendy Storevik, LPCC

Wendy is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and has a M.A. in Marital and Family Therapy.

She has experience in working with clients of all ages to treat a variety of individual and relational issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, attachment issues, parenting challenges and other social and emotional difficulties.

Her experience includes working in leadership/management positions in an outpatient behavioral health agency with within a university. She has been working with families across the lifespan and worked as a Registered Nurse with families after the delivery of their child to teach newborn care, as well as working with families who had experienced an infant loss or had an infant born with medical challenges until she retired from nursing. Wendy has experience working within a medical practice as a HealthySteps Specialists, where she worked with pediatricians to screen for development needs, provided positive parenting guidance and helped families access and navigate community resources.

She is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), PREPARE/ENRICH for premarital and marital counseling, Play Therapy, DC 0-5, in order to diagnose children from birth to 5 years of age, Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trust Based Relational Interventions and Circle of Security and Nurturing Parents, for parenting education.

In addition to her work within the Infant and Early Childhood Program, She provides Intensive Therapeutic Services to children and their foster and biological families who are working within the Foster Care System. Wendy emphasizes a wholistic approach along development framework as she works with caregivers and children through high stress experiences, trauma, depression, anxiety, and social emotional difficulties to restore and strengthen the caregiver child relationship.
