
Carissa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT). Carissa has experience working with clients of all ages to treat a variety of individual and relational issues such as anxiety, depression, attachment issues, adoption, trauma, divorce/co-parenting, and other social and emotional difficulties. She is trained in the DC:0-5, in order to diagnose children from birth to five years of age. Her experience in play therapy includes a variety of approaches, including an experiential framework and training in sand play. In addition to her work within the Infant and Early Childhood Program, Carissa also provides diagnostic assessments and outpatient psychotherapy to elementary school students within the School-Linked Mental Health Services program. Carissa is a safe-zone ally for LGBTQ+ individuals and families.
